It is happening on a large portion of DVDs, some I have had for a long time, some from Netflix. I should have said this before, any that don't work in the PS3 do work in my Toshiba Blu-Ray player. I have yet to have a disc that won't play in either, I usually try the PS3 first. My old stuff crapped out so I got a new motorola surfboard modem and a linksys E2000 router. Everything works fine except running netflix on my PS3 (meaning my pc and tablet have no internet issues).

Digital TV plays in stereo, PS3 plays in 5.1 surround (Dolby Digital) or stereo, Youtube plays in stereo (edit: no it doesn't, my mistake) - the TV and receiver appear to be set up correctly and compatible.
